Our pupils' safety and well-being are our main priorities. We have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place to protect our children from harm. Our safeguarding policy outlines the roles and responsibilities of staff members, who are responsible for overseeing the implementation of the policies in their relevant divisions. The policies also set out the procedures for reporting and responding to concerns of harm, which are taken very seriously and dealt with sensitively and promptly. As part of our commitment to safeguarding, all staff members undergo regular training to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and can identify any signs of harm. We also provide training to pupils to help them understand the importance of staying safe and how to report any concerns.
In October 1990, Modern English School Cairo opened its doors with only 28 students enrolled. The school began with the pioneering vision of a group of educators led by Mr. Nabeel Dajani and Mrs. Sawsan Dajani. Its reputation and standing in the community grew quickly. As the school population increased, improved facilities were built, culminating in the move to an impressive purpose-built campus in New Cairo.
